The bees
I keep several hives nearby. If it interests you, we can visit the apiary and see how the bees work.
About us
Stay for a weekend, a week or however long you like. Two-night minimum.

The owner
I love escaping into nature — walking along streams under beech trees, watching the wildlife. One of my passions is beekeeping. I'd like to encourage you to discover this place.
Let me walk you through the Sierra de la Demanda. I'll show you the best of this land — a beautiful natural area, a Natura 2000 site. I'd like you to meet its beech forests, streams, gullies, its flora and fauna — and to visit my hives if you fancy it.

I walk through the beechwoods whenever I can. I know the marked routes, and the ones only locals know.
I photograph the forest, the wildlife, the way the landscape shifts with each season. Many of those photos live on this site.
The village
Casa Fresneda sits in the village of Fresneda de la Sierra Tirón, province of Burgos. 989 metres above sea level, around a hundred residents. The last village in Burgos before crossing into La Rioja through the Sierra de la Demanda.
